Chp applicant!

Hello everyone. My name is Chris and im 23 years old. Im earning my AA in Criminal Justice and Corrections Officer Certificate within the next year. Im a volunteer at the Orange County Probation Department and have been on a few ride along with my local PD.

My plans are to apply for the CHP and pass the hiring process. Eye vision is a minimum requirement for the CHP so i have decided to get laser eye surgery this friday. Other then taht, i have been training myself everyday doing the workout routines. I run 2-3 miles everyday, 300-400 pushups per day, lifting weights and sit ups.

I havent used drugs since my senior year in high school, 2008, and at that i have only used marijuana. Glad i never followed my friends to doing other drugs. I have no criminal record and only 2 speeding tickets within my 7 years of driving. Ive been fired from 3 jobs for poor performance, but now been keeping a steady job for the past 3 years.

I feel there is much more to learn about police work and the hiring process, but just wanted to introduce myself here before posting anywhere else. Real happy I came across this forum, looking to learn a lot more!
