Four noisy cylinders don't have the soul of eight cylinders playing the tune that my right foot orchestrates.
Wicked Games is one of my favorite songs of all times.
This guy is right up there with Roy Orbison in style and range of voice.
Most excellent.
This career is not a sprint, it is a marathon.
Cat_Doc, if you want to hear someone that sounds like a young Roy, listen to the Mavericks a bit; particularly "I should've been True". Raul has one HELL of a voice.
I can't listen to modern music anymore! Help!!!![]()

I am aware of the Mavericks. Used to go cruising through the desert in my Bronco listening to them until the friggen cartels starting using the area as smuggling corridor.
I concur with the voice range and inflection of Raul being another one close to the style and talent of Orbison.
Wasn't it their second album that they started throwing in more of the Cuban influence? While still good, it just didn't please me as much.

I have to admit, I used to have that Chris Isaac tape (with Wicked Game on it) back in the day. I really haven't listened to him since. I do have to say that I really like the HIM remake of Wicked Game.
I almost inadvertently posted the "dirty" version of this vid! LOL

Why doesn't it surprise me, Switch, that you would prefer the darker version? LMAO
Something about the girl on stage ain't right!

That's a girl if I ever saw one.![]()

Story of my life... as short as it's been.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I like Chris Isaak. I just haven't listened to him for quite some time.
...and Cat, don't think I like just "darker" music or hard stuff. I have just about everything on my Zune. While I have a lot of rock, hard rock and country, I have most every CD by Harry Connick Jr., Michael Buble, Enya and Adele, to name a few. So, it's not all "darker"... just not been into Isaak for a while.![]()
