Is there any legal way to download music from the internet for free?! I use iTunes now, and buy my music from there...but it gets so expensive! I don't want to download anything illegally. Does anyone know of a legal way to download for FREE?

You could always ask for lots of iTunes gift cards for all holidays / birthdays, then it would be free to you. Otherwise, I can't think of any "legal" way to download music free.

Also new upcoming artists/bands each week have their tracks featured on iTunes available for everyone to download for free. I find it really great and I often discover great bands through this, you should give it a try. I doubt it any music from famous artists like let's say "Greenday" or "U2" will be free for legal download.

Every time a radio station plays a song.....they pay a royalty fee to the artist.
When you buy a CD.........the artist gets paid.
When you go to Itunes........the artist gets paid.
Music is not "free." If you don't paym the artist doe snot get paid and thus, makes no more music.

Um, YES! Other than one you pay for the license to use the song, like iTunes or Amazon or such.

Downloading free music is like shoplifting a CD.
Every so often, the industry goes after someone and makes an example of them. If they pick you, your life will never been the same. They routinely go after and get judgments against downloaders. I doubt the music is worth it, but it's your life.
