OK - I'm a complete metal head. Hardcore, speed, thrash. Have been since I was about 13. So Here is a place for other metalheads to post the stuff they dig. Here are a few of mine:
"6-6-Sick" by Dope. Don't like anything else by this band, but this song is at the top of my gym mix
"Blood and Thunder" by Mastodon. These guys just stomp - period. This is from the album Leviathan, a concept album completely dedicated to the novel Moby D1ck
"Set to Fail" by Lamb of God. I need say nothing more.

I'll jump in on this. I don't know how much of what I listen to is classified as "metal" anymore. I am a HUGE Metallica fan. No Metallica vids on YouTube. ;)

I have to be able to understand the lyrics. A lot of what's classified as "metal" nowadays is nothing but screaming and primal grunting into a mike. There are those that obviously enjoy that, but not me. A voice is a separate instrument and there should be a vocal range displayed on an album. Simply having a monotone yell/scream is not what I'm after.Of every one hundred men, ten should not even be here. Eighty are nothing but targets.
