Wife gave me an acoustic guitar for Christmas.
I am going into my 6th lesson this week.
Its more difficult that I ever imagined and I have a lot more respect for some of these people that can actually carry a tune on them than I previously did.
I seem to have fingers that are too big for the strings

It takes time, and you have to build up your 'chops' (musician speak for stamina)...your fingers are fine, you just have to make them learn..and they will.

I learned about 4 years ago, and it frustrated me to no end, there were times where I would want to SMASH the guitar against the wall...
Then I learned my first song..'Wonderful Tonight'..I was SO proud of myself that I played it..over..and over..and over again, until my HUSBAND wanted to smash my guitar against the wall....:p

Bass and Acoustic guitar, in that order. I've been known to tickle the ivories from time to time, but it's all by ear.
