    X-Men First Class

Awesome, awesome movie! Very well done, and while not 100% true to the comics, I think it's tied with X-Men 2 as the best in the series. Magneto for the first time is an absolute bad-@$$, though all the characters were done very well. Anyone who has enjoyed the previous X-Men movies, or who just wants to see a good summer action movie, this so far is the best I've seen this summer (we'll see if it keeps that designation once Captain America is released, though). I give it two of these:

Good to hear! so many people were writing it off before it even came out, I definitely want to see it, I was honestly a little disappointed by Thor and Green Lantern looks awful, so Captain America and X-Men are going to be must-sees for me

I hadn't seen any of the other ones....this was my first X-Men movie. I don't know if not having any background helped me to understand it better or not lol. It was more enjoyable than I was anticipating. Good amount of action and the storyline was good.

I enjoyed all the X-men movies (not so much the 3rd). For some reason I did not want to see this one but a friend dragged me to it today and I enjoyed the heck out of it.

I had a chance to see it the other day. I'm not a huge X-men fan, but this movie really had me glad I went to see it. Like its been said above: Great storyline, great acting, awesome action scenes, over all just a very well played movie. I have seen Thor, and thought it was okay. I'm hoping that Green Lantern isn't going to be a total bust, seeing as how that happens to be one of my more favorite comic heros. Captain America just looks like it's going to be an all out epic movie. From the trailers, it has already grabbed my attention!

I thought that this was by far the best out of the series so far, the sequel is already in the works and supposedly focus's mainly on the story of Magneto, sounds like a really cool idea to focus more on him and not so much on the main X-Men characters.

X-men: First Class sequel to focus on Magneto
    Feb 17, 2012

Now that a sequel to X-men: First Class is moving forward, fans are eager to know what it will be about. First Class focused a lot on the relationship between Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender), and Screenwriter Simon Kinberg mentioned that we can expect the sequel to focus heavily on Magneto:
“I’m a huge X-Men fan. I grew up loving the comic books and it was really exciting to be able to do the origin story of Xavier and Magneto, and getting those two actors, [James] McAvoy and [Michael] Fassbender, were really amazing,” he said. “So being able to explore those characters with actors of that quality will be exciting a second time around, and doing some things unexpected with those characters, which is the plan.”
“That’s what was so cool about the first one and what we want to continue,” Kinberg said of exploring the supervillain’s tortured beginnings. “Magneto becomes the villain ultimately of the franchise but he’s a much more complicated character as a young man. He’s someone you sympathize with, you care about you root for even though might not necessarily agree with his methods, you understand his philosophy.”
“We’re still figuring that out. I think the truth is ultimately that because Michael is such an interesting actor, he’ll never be full-on anything. He’ll have a villainous side and he’ll have a sympathetic human side you’ll be able to relate but you’ll also be afraid of him. He becomes Magneto, he says ‘Call me Magneto’ at the end of the first movie, Kinberg said about Magneto being pure evil in this film.
This shouldn’t be surprising as Fassbender was the really the break-out star in the film, and not to mention that Magneto is probably one of the most interesting characters in the X-men fanbase.
