    CID Application HELP!

I am an active duty Army SGT working on my application for CID right now. I have found the CID application page but I have more questions that I can't seem to get any answers to so if anyone has the answers to one or all of these questions your info will be appreciated.

How does the selection work? I turn my application into the local office who sends it up their CoC but who actually approves me? Is it a board or just one person? Am I competing against multiple applicants or do they approve applications as they come in?

What are the important things that I can do to make myself as competitive as possible? What things are considered the most? I have perfect credit (credit score 781). My pt score isn't bad (270). I have a associates degree. I've never been in any kind of trouble what-so-ever.

Does anyone know the percentage of qualified applicants that get selected or anything like that?

Basically anything that anyone can tell me to give me better odds at getting selected would be awesome!

Try contacting the senior NCO of your nearest CID detachment and coordinate a meeting. Any senior NCO worth the title is ALWAYS looking for competent and motivated muldoons to add to the team, and would certainly coordinate a face to face to answer questions about assignment to their organization. Even if they delegate the link up to a subordinate, it is still worth a shot.

As stated, work with your chain of command and get an appointment at the local CID Office and/or talk to your POC at the Office you applied out of.

They will be able to answer all your questions better than random folks on a message board.

    Good Luck.
