    Army Delayed Entry Program

I read on the Marines recruiting website that they have a Delayed Entry program where you wouldn't ship out until a year after you sign up or something like that. Within that time you continue to meet your recruiter and do some workouts to start getting in shape. I was wondering does the Army have a delayed entry program. I Plan on going into the army after I graduate college and was wondering is it a good idea to get into the DEP. I'm about to start working out again and start running every other day or so. I'm in good shape when it comes to weight and medical history(except for flat feet and minor case of asthma which I heard won't be a problem because it doesn't bother me or effect me when I run). I just didn't know if DEP was for those that haven't made up their final decision if they were going to enlist or not, or if It was also a program to help get in the right mind frame. If I do go into the DEP I will do it around this time next year because I will graduate Dec. 2005.
