Earlier this year Karzai issued a decree calling for the dissolution of all private security companies by the end of the year, an edict that has since been slightly watered down.

Always interesting how they have to walk themselves back after such decrees.

Former serving soldier looking to know the best PMCs are who are still hiring trainers for Iraq/nearby - was talking to a medic who was based in Olsen with me in 2005 (Samarra) and he mentioned a former Philly cop who was training some police out of the Iraqi MoI and was getting a bundle plus good support and ample down time - I wonder a) if anyone knows this guy (I'm from Philly myself but cop friends don't know who he is) or B) recommend a company?
