I was wondering what everyone's opinion is to the best branch of service in regards to just the reserves. Especially in regards to being an officer in the reserves

It depends on what you want out of it. if you are looking for some good training and a "smaller" chance of getting activated, and maybe some money for college the Air force or the Navy is probably your best bet.
The Marines and the Army you probably have a real good chance of getting deployed even if you are a reservist.
It really comes down to what you want to do in the reserves, what kind of units they have close to where you live and what you want out of it. Talk to a recruiter, their whole job is to tell you all about this, you can talk to one from each branch and see what they have to say and go from there.

That's like asking what kind of car you should buy. It's all down to personal preference. If you want to be a snake eater, go Marines or Army. If you like luxury, go ANG or AF reserve. Probably the Navy wouldn't be too bad either.
Rather than just go talk to recruiters, I'd recommend go to armories and/or reserve centers on the weekends they meet and talk to the people there. I'm sure you'd get better info than from a recruiter.
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine

Just remember, the Air Force doesnt have any SHIPS.
So, in theory, you should spend more time on SOLID ground.
On a clear night, I can see the other deputies emergency lights at least 10 miles away.
But it isnt flat here LOL
Unless you join a Naval reserve unit in Kansas......
But that's the reason I didn't consider the Navy when I signed up for active duty.... I can walk a lot farther than I can swim...... And I wasn't choked up about airplanes either, hence I didn't go Army Airborne..... The only thing worse than being in an airplane is intentionally jumping out of one.
