    2 year enlistment

I've tried looking for this info, but have had no success so far. I know the army has a 2 year enlistment. My questions is, what MOS have 2 year enlistments. Is it all of them or only specific ones. I'm interested in becoming an MP after graduating college. Also, what about the Air Force. Do they have a 2 year enlistment. If they do I was looking at Security Forces as a MOS if I decide on them instead of the Army. After, serving active duty I would like to be able to still do Reserves if my job in the civilian world allows it.

I've heard of the program, but I really don't know the specifics. I think it's 2 years active duty, then another 2-4 years of reserve duty.

Also, you job in the civilian world has no choice but to allow it If the don't, they're federally screwed...

The enlistment options depend on the jobs that have them available, and that depends on the MOS in need. AF is better :D

Don't think AF has two year enlistments. btw, The AF doesnt use MOS, its uses AFSC(Air Force Specialty Code)SF is something like 3P0X1 i think.

I recently read an article outlining the USAF 2 year enlistment. As I recall it was, as stated above, 2 years active and then a couple reserve. It was only open for a limited number of career fields and was only going to be open for like 300 enlistees for FY04.

So if you want one you better get to a recruiter and see if you can get one of those few slots, my bet is they were filled up months ago.

I was 1C131, Air Traffic Control, until my damn heart condition got me discharged. Basic training was awesome though! (to me anyways)

I'm not sure since I got out in 2000, but the MP Enlistment requirement may still be 5 Years.

The army 2 year enlistment options change regularly. Usually u can always get a combat arms 2 year enlistment. MP had a 2 year, but they are so short they will try to get you a 4-5

Did you enlist for Active Duty for 8 years? Or a combination of AD and IRR?

If you stay 8, you might as well stay 20 (pension).
