I was an MP in the Corps. You would be quite surprised about what some think is ok out in the field. I couldn't even begin to imagine on ship. You get any group of guys that are in high testosterone jobs, and nature will find a way. I do know that nothing good comes out of situations where there is forced integration by the PC crowd.
This may sound rough, but forget all the rapes, knock ups, triangles..etc. The damage to unit cohesion will trump all of that. Anyone who has been in a unit, knows that bonds form by everyone suffering together. The moment someone gets special treatment, all hell breaks loose. It can easily become irrational. Example: We were in the field for a few months, and the few females got trucked to the rear for showers at least once a week. It is obvious that this is necessary, but at the time we were all very pissed because we all were fighting critters and doing the water bottle hygiene routine. Each unit is different as well. Even within the same MOS (job). Just too many variables to deal with.
Anyway, hats off to the guys on the subs. I can't imagine the crap they go through before adding that PC Bomb into the mix.
For me, before there was the Thin Blue Line, there was the Blood Stripe! Semper Fi!
Our fear reminds us that we are not God, our faith reminds us that He is!
