F/A-18F crashes - outstanding outcome. Unlike in the Navy, Goose didn't hit the canopy on the way out and their bodies were able to cash the checks written by their egos. From the article it appears they decided to stay in the aircraft long after I would have (I guess that's why they've never let me fly them). It seems their giant set of brass balls got too hot from the fire and they had to eject.
Excellent outcome and it's nice to see all the safety and rescue stuff work as planned.
Now the question is how an airplane with two engines lost both and caught fire. Without the usual jet wash/flat spin/pilot sh*t they do (sorry, had to add all the Top Gun references for Cincy).
