Anyone a Reserve Agent with the Coast Guard? If so, how is the training, assignments, availability for AD? Im an Army Reserve Staff Sergeant (currently in a training status at a CID unit) and Police Officer.

Just looking for some info on transferring to a different MCIO.

If you are claiming to be a LEO, please follow the boards TOS and apply for your verified tag, as we don't allow people to claim such unless they have ben verified.

As for the USCG Reserves, it all depends where you are. In the NY/NJ area, the waiting list for that position is several hundreds deep with no anticipated openings. Most who are line curent federal agents who already are 1811's. "The chance of getting that spot here as a current fed is slim, and for a local LEO slim to none and none just got hit by a bus." Those are the words direct from the recruiters here.
