With Their Cadets or Senior Members, normally they work Air Shows but they also do Search and Rescue.

I once gave an NBC defense presentation to the CAP squadron of my shop's OIC's son.
Thats cool
I am a Cadet in CAP. I see little to no interaction with our local sheriffs office in reguards to Search and Rescue and unfortunately our drug demand reduction classes .
i've heard CAP is really good if you want to learn about aviation. You supposedly can actually get free flight time also. I know a lot of future military aviators were once members of CAP.
In some states, they assist with marijuana eradication missions, flying surveillance with LEO's on board looking for fields. They are also available for other LEO missions. We have used them a few times when our own planes were tied up and we needed transport.
When i used to fly private planes up by Georgetown Texas once in a while there were planes that had huge PATROL written on top of the wing and had a huge camera mounted under the wing. My old instructor told me that they were up looking for farmers doing illegal things and i think he said it might have been CAP. Not sure though but it sounded fun.
There is nothing like what I have become.
Man am I tired,
CAP is one of the best things that I got my self into .. I am a Flight Sgt and incharge of a Flight. which I want to say = to a Platoon . I think that translates right, however I am going to have the position as First Sgt soon.
