Was thinking about this the other day, do you think the "War on Terror" may turn into World War III? You can't defeat terrorism, so just curious on everyone's thoughts

Is it possible that nations in the ME will get involved in a future "WWIII"? Sure. Is the GWOT, as it is now, the feed-in to WWIII? I doubt it. The nations involved in the "global jihad" don't have enough support on an international nexus to entail a "world war" on the scale of WWI and WWII. Sure, international terrorism brings in combatants from nations around the globe, but you don't have the full participation of said nations like you did during the previous would wars. Unless a lot of other nations jump in full-swing to side by either us or the jihadists, it won't come near the magnitude of a world war.
