A quick story on the young man that worked on my shift:
Justin, age 20, signed with the Marine Corps back in November and left for Parris Island shortly after New Years. He started his training and excelled in all aspects of boot camp. With 4 weeks left to go he fell out on a road march with bad pain in his hip. A bone scan revealed a stress fracture in his pelvis and he spent two months in a medical platoon. He graduated this Friday. He stopped by work in his dress uniform with a shiny "expert" rifle badge on his chest. I couldn't have been prouder of him.

I'd like to echo this sentiment. Welcome to the Corps Justin, and thanks for sticking out MRP. I KNOW what a de-motivator that can be, when your graduation date dissappears into thin air... Tough work sticking it out and not quitting!!

Thanks everyone, I'm sure he'll appreciate the gratitude. We've got a range trip planned for him next Sat before he takes off for the next round of training. I'll post pics...
