I was wondering if anyone knows what exactly commisioned officers that are Special Agents in AFOSI does on a daily basis. I plan on becoming an officer through ROTC and want to go into AFOSI. But I hear that officers don't get to investigate from some people then others say they not only investigate but they lead the investigation. I want to go into the field and be right in the middle of everything. So does anyone know if they do get to do that?

I'm not air force, i'm in the marines. and if AFOSI is anything like our, im guessing, NCIS, you dont even need to be an officer. Some are civilians, and we have some enlisted marines as well. They don't adhere to grooming regulations or anything, so they can sport a beard if they wanted. Basically they handle all of the higher cases like rapes, murders, and anything of that nature.

Physical agility test: Passed
Invterview: Passed
Background investigation: Passed
Polygraph: Passed
Physc: Scheduled
