Internship with Army CID

I was on their website and I saw that they have interhips. I was wondering is it only for those serving in the army or can a civilian who plans on enlisting in the Army get an internship. The reason I ask is because I was looking to do a internship next summer before my senior year in college. My ultimate goal before leaving the army is CID. I already know about all the other requirements. I also know it is not an easy thing to do. I probably will serve from either 8-10 yrs. If I'm not in with CID by then I will just move on to the civilian world. If I do make who knows.

the internship is only for active duty soldiers. it is used for non LEO's to gain LEO experience for the prerequisites. it will not take you 8-10 yrs. they need agents all the time. the key is getting all of you requirments like college out of the way before you enlist. and enlist into an MOS that requires a TS clearence. it will be a smoother transition

I was wondering what MOS require a Top secret clearance. I will already be enlisting with a BS going in. I was going to go in as a MP because I thought one of the requirements is that you must have served at least 6 months as a MP

almost all intelligence fields requrie a TS. the requirement is 1 year civilian police, 6 months intern, or six month MP. also, additionaly if you do decide to go in MP, you can work for a CID drug task force. those teams are almost always comprised of MP's who are tasked out due to man strengh of agents. they would suck you right up with a BA degree.
