    Increasing Rank in the Air Force

    My recrutier told me that where I already almost have an associate degree that I would at least go in as an E2. Is there anything else I can do to increase my rank before I join?

    Completing Junior ROTC in HS will also put you in as an E-3 (Airman 1st Class)

    I agree with Jaunt10 - become an officer. Get your bachelor degree and go to OCS, even better go to Navy OCS.

    Enlisting for 6 yrs = E-3 as soon as you were done basic when I was in. Otherwise it took an extra year.

    Need a bachelors degree to become an officer though.
