    Question Good first persons?

I absolutely love reading books that are written by police officers that talk about their career and some of the calls they have been dispatched to. Does anyone know of any good series that are non-fiction? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am a avid reader, I have over 200 books on my kindle...

I love crime/mystery patricia Cornwell, dean kootnz, Jodi picoult etc...

I stumbled across " The sixth session " by Joe Hefferon a few yrs back he is an actual police lieutenant that wrote the book it was pretty good.. they have it on Amazon I think for like 11$

Thanks, you're the only person who replied. I'll definitely check him out! I don't own a kindle though so hopefully they have it at a local library.

Officer safety. Explorers need this too, our job is just as dangerous sometimes.

There was a Deputy that retired from my agency and he has written a few books of short stories that are all about his calls. He changes some details here and there, but you'll never know, and he's got a heck of a sense of humour (his stories all have a funny twist to them!).

His name is Don Parker and he wrote the following books:

You're Under Arrest: I'm Not Kidding

    Officer Needs Assistance, Again

You Have the Right to Remain Silent

You can find them on Amazon, although I don't think they are electronic for the Kindle yet. I've read them and they're really great!

    Try

    What Cops know

short stories of cases that really happened. A good read.

Also all and any novels of Joseph Wambaugh (Hollywood station, Hollywood Crows, Hollywood moon, The Choirboys and so much more)

and one of my favourite writers is James Lee Burke and his Dave Robicheaux novels.

There are two things I'm good in, the second is arresting people

I'm looking for Drug/Narcotic Unit patches together with DUI/DWI unit patches for a frame in our Anti-Drug-Team bureau

Also looking for Massachusetts Police and US Capitol City PD patches now!
