This time I read "Practical Narcotics Investigations" from James Henning and it is a great read. But there must be a few more good books about my hobby out there.

Non fiction. I read so much fiction books in all those years, esp. when I had my incident with the damaged foot. But now I work, with all the other stuff we have to do, in a team against drug crime. Well, we are not bad, but an old dirtbag like me is able to learn more about tactics and other stuff in the war on drugs, I think;)

Go to true crime in the book store. I always find several there.

German book stores are just different to USA book stores. We also have true crime books, but most are writen by victims of a crime, the dirtbags who does it and all want the same, a lot of money from the readers.

It is hard to find a book store that has good books in English, most are novels. Very low true crime books. I order a lot by amazon.de (.com), so I don't have to pay the very high s/h rates from the USA to Europe (sometimes $ 25 and more).

But, and this is the reason to open this thread, I'm unable to have a few inside and sometimes books are so expensive and so very bad. So I want to get the opinions of other LEO about good narcotic fight books.

I actually just started writing a book awhile ago, Patcher, just for the fun of it. The story is based on a woman who falls in love with a man, but she keeps taking off to Brussels to test his love. Riveting, hmm?
The backdrop is layered in passion, and utter angst.
