Cheers
I was also talking about those who violate the system. I have no problem with people collecting unemployment because they are laid off as long as they are actively seeking new employment. What I don't like are the people who just milk the system and use it as free money with no interest in becoming employed.

My best friend does landscaping and he gets laid off for a few months around Thanksgiving every year and collects unemployment for a couple months until the snow/cold clears. Once it does he is back to working about 60 hours a week or so

This fireman I spoke of is an alleged drug user who doesn't seem to be in any hurry to get off of unemployment. He was bragging that unemployment was extended like 20 weeks or something

Yeah - that sounds like the "Turd in the punchbowl". Those that abuse the system make me ill and it is sad that the system is easy enough to scam for millions to capitalize on the weakness.

I agree, those that need - should receive. Like you, I have numerous friends in construction - as we all know that industry has been devastated by the economy. Guys that would trade anything to work 60-80 hours a week again.

What a you-know-what. I have no sympathy for him. I do wish there was some way to hold people more accountable.

I was on unemployment for 3 months and I made about 1000 a month.

There are some who abuse the system but for the most part unemployment is a decent program. Like everything else the government runs it can be ran more efficiently but thats just me.

And Greg Steve was referring to making a ton of money in a State with pretty good living costs. Come down to Texas and we'll make you tan and rich!!

**Disclaimer: Note that this is not a recruiting ad endorsed by the State of Texas nor is it easy. I haven't felt my thighs in two weeks.

I don't believe that. I'm sure Chevy feels his thighs whenever he's alone. Still a sexual problem, but of a COMPLETELY different nature.
