Incentive to stay in shape as an officer: Video

Looks like this guy just got the first punch in and kept going, but when I see these videos, I want to work out more.

Wow. Yeah, definitely glad that my boyfriend's been working out more. (Course videos like this are the reason he doesn't want me to pursue law enforcement myself; he figures if it can happen to a guy that size, it can happen to 115lb on a good day me).
We must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men.

I say that all the time to prospective officers and current officer alike. This is why I get especially irratated with those threads where some knucklehead asks how to get in shape for the upcoming PT test in 3 weeks... WTF!

Yup... I love the workin' out. I just finished a good 90 min of snatches and bench presses today.

im not an officer but my father, and 2 of my cousins are officers, i myself is pursuing a career as a LEO. i dont think just because one works out (the gym lifting weights) a person can defend oneself.

my father and cousins are black belts in martial arts (father: karate, cousins: jujitsu) their not the biggest guys their pretty small, all 3 are about 160lbs and 5ft. 7-8in. (so basically scrawny Asians) now on the other hand, i am a strong kid (bench press:320lbs and squat: 540lbs, 5ft. 10in.) and my dad and cousins whip my A** everytime, not that bad but they beat me (im a brown belt in Shaolin).

my dad and cousins watched this video on youtube and they said close combat martial arts would of helped. in my opinion hone your skills in some sort of martial arts and not hit the gym all day. who do you think will win in a fight, Bruce Lee or Ronnie Coleman? we can all agree Bruce Lee.

(P.S. im not trashing Ronnie, i think hes a Police officer or a Sheriff's Deputy in his county where he lives. what im saying is, All Mass will not always win.)

    just my 2 cents

Yes but his mass can, if he wanted to, rip the suspect out of his own car and hold him suspended in the air ;-)

Vigilante justice?....heh, makes my job slightly easier

Before you debate the law with me or another officer, make sure you have a "firm" grasp of the english language and try researching it, quoting it, or something else valid instead of "Well I heard that...."

Someone needs to come up with something else witty to quote...
