    Borders Are Safe?

While I know better because I work in this area and see it all the time, it amazes me that people (current fed administration and civilian ostriches) actually believe our borders are safe.

Fur Trader Jan knows better but she insists that crime is down and that civilian law enforcement is exaggerating the dangers of the invasion of foreign born criminals into the United States.

She touts that crimes along the border cities is actually lower than it has been in years. Well, that does not surprise me because the drug cartels and human smuggling rings are not using the cities as access routes into our country.

They are utilizing remote access areas of an unprotected border and their criminal activity is surfacing deep inside the US.

The working men and women of federal law enforcement know the dangers but they can't stay anything in fear of retaliation from administrative staff.

It is necessary to place our United States Armed Forces on the border of Mexico to protect our nation. Failure to do so is tantamount to treason as far as I am concerned.

This incident occurred some 50+ miles into our border through a well known smuggling route.

    DPS Officer Ambushed by Suspect

This is not the first time civilian police officers have been ambushed and fired upon by foreign invaders. It will not be the last.

A Border Patrol agent was recently murdered with an AK-47 that a federal administration intentionally let walk across the border into Mexico. WTF is wrong with this picture?

What is it going to take to get the White House off their *** and send troops to protect us?

I can't think of a more honorable duty for our military than to actually be boots on the ground on our soil, protecting our soil.

The citizens of this nation need to sound off loud and clear that this invasion is to be stopped!
This career is not a sprint, it is a marathon.

    An election.

Seriously, the recent decision to stop deporting "non-dangerous" illegal aliens is pandering to their base of support for re-election at the expense of community safety and law enforcement.

The reality is that the illegal community is so large it can hide the violent felons, drug smugglers and coyotes. I thought the lesson about getting rid of the petty offenders leads to reducing the violent offenders was learned in New York City in the 1980's. Get rid of graffiti, larceny, etc and murder and robbery goes down. Enforce the immigration laws to their fullest extent and drugs, kidnapping and murder will go down.

Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine

More than likely, a conventional declaration of war, or full scale invasion by a conventional military.

I can't think of a more honorable duty for our military than to actually be boots on the ground on our soil, protecting our soil.
    Me neither.

Such was the case back in the day with the old cav units tasked with patrolling the border. Nowadays though, you can't use a federal troop for any conventional task within CONUS without somebody screaming "posse comitatus!!!!" or "black helicopters!!!".

We've spent billions of dollars, if not trillions, manning the line in ridiculous places like South Korea, the Sinai, and Kuwait, when we should have had rotations in places like say....Arizona, or Texas, or New Mexico.

    That's just crazy talk though...

    /pfffftttttt!!!!!!!
