It was a beautiful evening tonight so I hopped on the bike and rode to the local Burger King, a hang out for bikers (crotch rocket guys). I got there and stood around with a couple other guys for a few minutes. Before long a few more pulled in and right behind them a black charger. I kid you not...he clips what appears to be an itouch to the drivers visor and turns on a flashing light app It was a barely visible pinkish/redish and white flashing light. He gets out of the car and says to one of the guys who just pulled in "Was it you who just turned around and sped down the road. I'm tired of pulling you guys over in my POV." He never did identify himself or show any ID.

I had to chuckle. Especially after hanging around here where it seems to be unanimous that off-duty confrontations like the above are completely ridiculous.

Thankfully everyone was cool so no extra excitement. At first I thought I was going to be get fingered for making the disturbance. I was in the process of leaving when he pulled up so my bike was on and I was standing next to it with my helmet in my hands. Good thing he was looking for a red bike lol

I've seen a similar app on a droid. While the lights flash you can get it to play a recording of a police siren.

I understand you can use them to make phone calls too!

Don't these idiots realize that real cops get shot for "just walking up to a vehicle" exactly like what he did? You would think they could find a safer way to get their power trip fix. Its not like being a LEO is getting any easier/safer out there.
