I don't see it as an issue being that it was an honest mistake. It's not like the guy sent a text saying "Hey Joe, so and so wears a 32A bra bahahahaha! Let's call her mosquito bites!"

Exactly. We had spreadsheet of employees and shirt sizes. It was innocently sent around (meaning no one though it was an issue until someone complained) so people could check it. Somebody with 4XL shirt size complained. It's not like he suddenly became fat when a number was placed next to his name. Nor did anyone care.

Yep, like G35 Mass said, it's not hard to tell though women do tend to wear some very deceiving bras these days.

When a lady orders a golf shirt, or a vest the compny goes by the bra size so they can determine a right fit. Unbelievable that this is being made out to be more than what it is.

    Yes, I'm back. Hello RP-xo

    Welcome back!

Yeah, I suspect the bottom line here is that someone sees $$$ in their future.

Various women on my department have won so much money in lawsuits over some of the most bogus and silliest things that the city is skitterish about anything regarding them. That's why when I left, supervising one was a nightmare if they chose to be a problem. The vast majority just came in and wanted to do the job, but we had enough who were litigation predators and/or believed they deserved special treatment to constantly be a thorn.

We had one who was drop dead gorgeous and would act seductive towards men and then sue for sexual harassment. She did it successfully three times and made a fortune which also demonstrates how dumb some men are. Right after she won one of her suits, I came by a precinct one night and two guys were having a sexually explicit conversation with her. The stupidity of my gender is often something to behold.

I have no idea what the attitudes are there now, but I can name off several women I worked with in the past who would have jumped on this as an opportunity to get a settlement and the city would probably do it.

Don't get me wrong, I was there when women were first hired as cops and they were subjected to a lot of BS and lawsuits were the only viable way to change what was going on. I have a lot of respect for the pioneers of women in police work. It just got silly after a while and a few created some toxic atmosphere, especially for supervisors.
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine
