Just wondering....since the prosecution knew they had a iffy circumstantial case, couldn't they have initially charged her and taken her to trial on first degree murder? Then, if that didn't fly... at a later date (perhaps if more evidence came up) charge her with child neglect resulting in the death of a child, or would double jeopardy still apply?

the online petition that I signed has over 1 million signatures....either ALOT of people agree that this law should be in effect in all states or A LOT of people believe she is guilty...what's wrong with this picture.....:(

I think South Park had it right on one of their episodes. The kids were voting on a new mascot and it was between a giant douche or a turd sandwich due to PETA telling them they could no longer be called the South Park Cows. Towards the end the one character said "You see, no matter what, it will always be between a giant douche and a turd sandwich." Some truth to that. It was just on the other night actually. Sorry for the highjack back to regularly scheduled thread.

released at midnight?? seriously.....that ticks me off even more. I was hoping someone would egg her as she was leaving the courtroom....They are going to go waaay out of their way to accomodate her huh..... CRAZY......

I read she already has a book/movie deal for which I am sure she will make the $$$. And, probably go on to lead a very nice life.
