I know somebody who works for the UofA agricultural extension and has a series of photos of a bull snake killing and eating a diamondback. I'll try and get them to post them if anyone is interested?

After I got to thinking about it, I think it was king snake I was thinking about, not bull snake. It was a long time ago and I'm old......

Heh. I stand corrected again. I was correct the first time; it was a bull snake that was eating the rattler, not the king. The warden set me right, even though I was right. Isn't it something how they can do that? (Women setting us right, not bull snakes eating rattlers. LOL)

That's because in their logic model "two wrongs don't make a right."

Same principle when they give directions too. Nothing is ever "drive 2 miles North on Central and then turn West on Jefferson, it's always "turn left at the second walmart and go until you see a big sign and then turn left again (while they point right)." I once was given directions with 4 consecutive left turns. I pointed out that 4 lefts was a circle. That didn't go over well in the logic model either.

Okay, I am getting old myself. I asked her if she remembered to send me the photos of the bull snake eating the rattler. She gave me a strange look and said, "I told you, it is a king snake eating the rattler, not a bull snake."

So, I went and started researching myself and RetDetSgt was correct, it was the king snake who is the enemy of venomous snakes. She insists that I need a hearing aid, then changes it to, "You only hear what you want to hear." WTF?

She said she would "try" and remember to send the pics from her work. When she does, I'll post them.

We have the 13-year cicadas going on right now in middle Tennessee. You want to talk about a bug infestation? These things are cloggin up my windshield and we're sweeping them up by the dozens outside the firehall.

Doh. Shoulda added "Sounds about right when talking with a woman." I have that problem too.
