2 visits with the boys in blue tonight, unbelievably pissed off...

....not at the police mind you.

***Edit: Just spoke with my attorney about breaking the lease. He advised me it would be best that I didn't discuss what was going on, even online, until everything was over - so I'm removing the original post.

I'll share the details again in the future.

Check the lease agreement for illegal activity. If you tell the landlord that the partners are doing drugs in the building and it's no longer a viable business, they may break the lease just to get them out. At least for residential leases here, certain crimes committed by tenants give the landlord the ability to terminate a lease agreement. If they decide to terminate it, you won't owe anything. Also if you get an order of protection, some residential leases can be broken by the tenant here. Not sure if that would apply to commercial leases or your state. Is it possible to get a restraining order since it sounds like he threatened you and harassed you ? That will keep him away from you, your wife and your business.

And paraphernalia can be a felony here. Sweet. You're probably off his Christmas card list.

I called and left a message with the landlord this morning, just waiting for a call back. I can't for the life of me find my copy of the lease, but I do know there were stipulations in it relating to illegal activities on the property.

Partner didn't "threaten" me it was his jacktard friend - who is also a local business owner. I'm not worried about either of them.

I also informed the 3rd leaseholder today, he completely agreed with my call.

I'm still pretty ticked off. If the state got wind of something like this right now it would most likely stop my permit process dead in it's tracks, and then cost me thousands in attorney fees while I get the mess sorted out.

I cannot believe the inconsideration/ignorance of some people. This %*&^stick gave absolutely no thought to what this could potentially do to me, my family, and my current and future business. I have no idea how long this crap has been going on, last night was pure dumb luck that I caught it. Couldn't sleep the whole damn night as about 1.2 million scenarios played out in my head, hence the early AM posting ;)

I won't be losing any sleep over the Christmas cards, however.
