Interview with car thief the next morning when he sobered up.

T I wasnt driving the car.
M Who was then?
T It was the other guy.
M What other guy?
T The one who got out of the van and ran away.
M One little question then, why did you get out of the drivers door?
T Who said I did that?
M The video camera in the deputies car.
T OH.............Maybe I better talk to my lawyer
M Your choice, good luck in court.

One of the guys from my station repeatedly dealt with a woman recently who is nuts and was eventually arrested for DV matters and assaulting the officer.

She is telling everyone she is going to put him on charges and put in a complaint etc etc....Se also reckons that her father was in the job as an Inspector (Boss) for 35 years and she knows how the sytem works and all cops are corrupt etc etc.....

A few nights later I attend at her house with another guy so that the other guy can serve her with some DV paperwork. She looks at our ranks and realises I am the supervisor so she asks to speak to me privately.

She very politely asked how she could complain about the officer. I advised her to contact SGT D, the OIC of the local station and to make a complaint to him outlining her grievances.

She asked what the point was as the officer would only plant drugs on her....I said that might have happened 30 years ago, but it certainly does not go on now.

She then asked what the SGT would do with the complaint, all the while making comments about the officer bullying her, and how she never did anything wrong and how she was polite throughout and how he was rude etc... On the other hand, I had heard the audio recording of the incident and knew the truth, but I did not let her know that.

I explained that the SGT would interview the officer, then interview all persons present, including her husband (who had called Police) and her daughter (who she had assaulted), then he would review the tapes.

She asked what tapes. I explained how I have a small video camera on my shirt and other officers carry small audio recorders. I explained how the officer in question had an audio recorder and the OIC would review it and make a determination on what action to take based on his investigation.

She did not speak of it anymore and did not make a complaint. She obviously was not aware of the audio tapes until I mentioned them.

She must of also thought I was a moron at first because I was sounding like I was really on her side, right up until I let her know of the tapes and that i had heard them which let her know that I knew she was full of sh1t!!!

This is why I couldn't be a criminal. What excuse could I use since I never wear pants?
