LMBO, 100% agreed! I wish i had one yesterday at the library when that stupid lady would not shutup... ooh here is another one Kels what I dealt with at work the otherday.....Stupid x2.....

scenario #1- a lady calls to get a medical update on her mom, she says to me and I qoute , " I was told with the speech therapist not being there on the weekends my mom would not be getting anything to eat".

My response, " well I am not certain who told you that but I am certain you misunderstood, your mom is not laying there starving friday-Monday , the speech therapist is working with her with different textures that can only be given by her etc....

after I hung up the phone I just thought to myself Wow she really thought we was starving her for three days...

scenarion # 2 ( SAME SHIFT)- it was crazy busy, doctors giving me orders, patients was coding, I had a STAT transfer I was setting up just a zoo, I was on the phone giving another update and the person says to me

"so if I want to drive there which way do I go on 95"? me: "where are you coming from"?

" Orlando area".... Me : " ok we are close to jax so you would go 95N"

them : "Are you sure it's not 95s?

I said about as polite as I could ummm no jacksonville is North of Orlando...... I * THOUGHT* to myself and the scary thing is you are going to drive here.....

then she proceeded to quiz me about what kind of hospital we are

I said well to be a patient here you have to fall within these catergories..

A) Ventilator
B) wound care
c) Dialysis
D) IV therapy

I spent 20 minutes on the phone with this lady she never did show up to visit or I HATE the ones that call and ask how far it is from such n such then if it's like an hour they complain.... I want to say " are you coming to be nosey"? or do you actually care about the patient!
