I've seen many videos of this kid. Some seem real, others seem staged. Being that this one involves a police officer, what's your professional opinion?

Staged..
Mom didn't say, "OMG what did you do to my son? I wanted you to make him instantly listen to me, not spray him with your evil, deadly pepper spray. He's just a boy! His father left us when he was a child. It's all his fathers fault!"
Additionally the coughing from the spray didn't seem legit, plus at that close range, other son (cameraman) more than likely would have started coughing. Including the Officer (depending on level of exposure tolerance.)
A lot of tells from the officer about tactics not being right.. A bunch..
Bottom line, things are generally more chaotic with people talking over each other. Started good with mom and son arguing, but then they started/stopped talking as if it were a badly staged play.
Could be legit, but I wouldn't wager money on it. In fact, I would put a lot on it being faked.

Looks like a load of poop to me. Duty belt looks really empty, no impact weapon, no radio. I would not throw my CS/Pepper spray to the floor after using it (even if it was empty).

I've seen better fake cops in porno movies
"He didn't want to tell the cop he was on his way to the Butt Pirate Palace for a little two-step with Joe-Joe during the Village People marathon." - Cat_Doc
"Cause when your hourglass runs out of sand
You can't flip it over and start again...Don't blink..." Kenny Chesney
"Take care, never leave home on bad terms, watch your back and go home in one piece." - Aussie Nathan
"The batton in my jacket is hot like a porn actor to beat someone down." - Patchcop
Didn't seem quite right to me either. I noticed the lack of a radio, the "police" patch looked generic, just the general appearance of the officer seemed wrong.
Well this particular youtube poster has had many of these and I doubt seriously any of them are real. Quite a few have been hilarious. But there is a show called Tosh.O where they did a web redemption for the kid in his original World of Warcraft freakout.
Skripted video's to make money is all I see...
Looks about as real as this dudes' Bigfoot footage...
[NOTE: NSFW DUE TO LANGUAGE]
This is fake. If this is not fake I hope the Officer views this and see the mistakes he made especially involving his safety.
1. When originally being confronted by the youth and the youth walks towards him, the officer should have changed his "balls upfront" position to a bladed stance.
2. When the kid sits down the officer momentarily puts his right hand in his pants pocket for no reason (wrong)
3. He lets the kid go into another room loaded with potential weapons.
4. He should realize that this situation is going to escalate and should have requested assistance.
5. I would not throw my mace away if I didn't have to.
6. After he maced him he should have cuffed him.
BOTTOM LINE- WHY IT IS FAKE
The cop never looks at the little guy walking all around him with the camera. Not normal. The brother never looks at the camera either. 100% fake

I'm not a cop but it didn't look right to me. already pointed out that there was no radio. There are local agencies with that kind of patch so that didn't bother me. It does look like he had a light blue or gray t-shirt underneath which is weird. I've seen white and black. Also, that looks like an odd way to carry handcuffs. It looks like they are slipped in-between his belt and pants. I've seen them carried slipped in the pants so they don't get hung up on the belt, but not like that.
Decision to use pepper spray without backup, in someone's house and on a juvenile seems a little hard to believe. I'd be kinda pissed if the officer made the house uninhabitable before going hands on and breaking his arm. I'm not sure why the first words from the officer weren't "Why don't you come outside so we can talk?" Also, I didn't see him cuff the kid. Helping him up before cuffing seems a little unbelievable as the whole point is to get him to the ground.
I would think that escalating the use of force beyond verbal inside a residence with an unknown number of people in an uncleared house would necessitate backup. Families can easily start defending one another when they see one of their own getting handled. I can't imagine that was very smart tactics especially since he then threw away his only less-lethal option. He would probably want at least two other officers before attempting to physically restrain him. He possibly may want one officer for each of the other family members and outnumber the group by at least one officer. There's no rush. That seems to be just common sense. Backup doesn't have to stick around long.
It would be an interesting poll to see how many officers would cross the threshold of a house without backup in a non-life threatening domestic violence situation. Heck, it would be interesting to see how many would even start to approach the house without backup and no gunshots or blood curdling screams.
Just my unprofessional opinion.
