This one relates to a serial murderer we had here a few years back.

Ivan Milat was a sick little puppy who killed backpackers. He was charged with 7 and convicted but some think he did more.

Backpacker Murders - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

They were known as the backapacker murders.

Today a relative (one station reported it as his nephew) was charged with murdering someone and dumping the body in the same forest his famous uncle used. Nice family.

This is the quote his brother gave to the press...

ALEX MILAT: For me, I'll have people annoy sh1t out of me over it. I've got to go to the paper shop tomorrow mornin', buy me Lotto tickets for the week and I know that I'll get - something'll be said. There's nothing you can do about it. You just got to wear it.
Real compassionate Alex. Good on ya' mate.

FOUR teenage mates went into the Belanglo State Forest to celebrate a birthday. The birthday boy, who turned 17 on Saturday, did not come out alive.

Yesterday, a relative of backpacker killer Ivan Milat was charged with the boy's murder.

Belanglo, in the New South Wales Southern Highlands, was the site of the Milat murders of seven backpackers found in the same forest in the early 1990s.

On August 29 the remains of a young woman, yet to be identified, were also found there. Police said that case was unrelated to the latest crime.

They yesterday charged two friends of the teenage victim, both 18-year-olds, with being accessories after the fact of murder.

''[The forest] has some isolation,'' homicide squad acting commander Pam Young told a news conference. ''I suppose it has some attraction to people who want to do badness.''

A friend of the four teenagers insisted they were all mates who had not been in trouble.

A flood of messages arrived on a Facebook ''RIP'' page dedicated to the victim. ''All good die young, but you never deserved this,'' said one. ''Shouldn't of [sic] been you bro. Should of been the scum that did it to you.''

In court at Campbelltown, where Milat's relative appeared, the Director of Public Prosecutions was granted an order to collect two swabs from the relative's hands, fingernail clippings and photographs of scratches somewhere on his body.

Police alleged the victim died from a head wound some time between 9.45pm on Saturday and 6pm on Sunday, when one of the 18-year-olds went to police and told them what had happened.

Police reached the forest about 8.30pm and found the boy's body in a shallow grave, hidden under debris. It had been left a short distance from a fire trail, several kilometres into the forest from the Hume Highway.

Police would not say what they thought the murder weapon was.

The other 18-year-old is due to face court today.

Acting Superintendent Young said the boy's body was found in a different part of the forest to where Milat dumped his victims.
