Seems like a pretty cool idea. The ambulances around here are terrible. I can be staring at it coming toward me but I don't hear anything until we are almost side by side. The LE cars don't run lights/siren a lot around here, but it seems like their siren might be a bit louder the few times I have heard it.

Yeah, old(er) news. As far as it being effective - YMMV. So Cal has probably the highest number and percentage of pisspoor drivers (whether it be inability, inattentiveness, arrogance, whathaveyou). I'm not sure that people will feel the rumbler over the shaking from the crap music that everyone plays. Also, the rumbler can't clear the road of the idiots who know you're coming but stop/freeze right in front of you (fail to pull to the right). ETAL
