So today my buddies and I, after some Trick Or Treating, went to a 7/11 to refill on drinks, don't worry not that kind. So we saw a local Sheriff's car parked in a parking spot and I thought it was cool since I was the only one in the group that was interested in LEO's. So we put our sacks of candy in front of the 7/11, which were pillow covers and walked inside to get some nice, cold beverages. So we all paid and left, as we were walking out we saw the Sheriff get out of the cruiser and walk over to our bags with a smile, he put on his gloves and searched the bags without question or even talking. We just stood there watching him search each and every bag. I know you guys don't second guess fellow LEO's on here, and I'm not saying you should. I'm just wondering why he would do this. Was it because of some law where he was forced to? Was it because I had some shaving cream on me? Or was it because he thought we had drugs or something else? What's your opinion as to why he searched us? I know it's just his job and he doesn't make the rules and I respect that, I'm not complaining, and I'm not whining. I'm just asking a question. Thanks.
