Cambridge Mass Parking tickets

Did anybody see this? The city of above has put images on their parking tickets to calm people down, make them feel better about the ticket and not lose their temper.










I got an idea, Don't illegally park, don't give me an attitude when you have to pay your ticket, if you do, I won't put nice calming pictures in front of you , I will hit you face, throw you on the ground, and extract the money from your pocket for the fine.


Freaking bull squat trying to appease people who break the law. This is the direction we are heading though.

Have you ever tried to find a parking spot in Cambridge????? That's totally aggravating in itself.
Maybe that's why they're trying to calm everyone down?

Maybe someone here who is from Cambridge can shed more light on the situation.....

I think they were just making up work for their "artists". Otherwise those artists would have to get real jobs....like parking enforcement officers.

But I have to say, I can see parking in front of a fire hydrant or a red zone or too close to a stop sign as "illegal". Parking in a space that's otherwise legal to park but has no time on the meter....? I hope police don't enforce those ordinances. That's a little too civil with no public safety component for me. I don't mind meter maids doing it though.

/From college I still have a meter cover that I "acquired." University had their canvas meter covers fitted with padlocks so they couldn't slip off. Padlock on one side, thread seam on the other. Genius. Sort of like spending a lot of money to install door locks on a dune buggy. Mine still has the padlock attached after cutting an inch worth of threads. Someday I'm going to reinstall it on a meter just to see if they still have the key.

I used to visit a monastery in Cambridge. I only drove there once-- I've never been honked at so much in my life! After that I took the train so I wouldn't have to deal with it.
