With all that's going on the country today I'm wondering if you are experiencing more or less anti-police sentiment?

We have a lot of people pretty pissed off at the government, and police obviously are an extension of government which makes me curious.

There's a lot of anti-police around Portland from the vocal minority, but it's really nothing new. They venture from their Mom's basement where they live to protest periodically.

Not really much different from when I started. I don't have too many problems, as I am pretty well established. There are the few who don't like us but more are ok with us.

I noticed more hostility in here than on the street, lately. Mostly from overly sensitive youngsters who get upset at the truth and demand sugarcoating.

Even hard core felons give you respect on the street...because they, unlike these self centered neophytes we have running around, know what time it is.

I've never had a problem with street people, for the most part they know the rules of engagement. It's the whiny liberals who haven't a clue, but have plenty of time to protest because they live off of someone else that's the problem around here.

That's why I always preferred to work graveyard when I was in uniform. The only people out were drunks, crooks, garbagemen, newspaper carriers and others that had night jobs.

I remember getting a call at one of the dive bars on my district one night. These two couples from the wealthy part of the city had come there and were thrown out because of the dress code. Yeah, it had one, the owner demanded shirts with collars for all men. It kept some of the worst in the neighborhood out. Anyway, one of the guys was wearing tee shirt and called the police because he thought his rights had been violated. Boy, they were really pissed after I told them that the patrons of that joint would eat them alive and they better get back to the other side of town. Getting tossed out was the best thing to happen to them. I'm glad I didn't deal with idiots like that on a daily basis.

At the moment we're being accused of genocide of black people because we killed one that drew a gun and shot a cop and another had just threatened his girl friend with one.

This may almost sound liberal, but without these radically different opinions than ours, from what we consider turds, brats, booger eating morons, this place would border on boring.
