Well, I graduate from the academy tomorrow! I cant believe that the whole summer is pretty much gone. Im pretty excited to get out on the street and get my butt kicked by the FTO!

It's all a game. The academy teaches you "the book." I don't know about Iowa but at least here each county operates different and you have to learn the system and how you play it.

It's the same here. Each county has their own little ways of doing things. The laws might be the same, but what the county attorney, magistrate or clerk of court wants for the charges are different. No big deal if you are a deputy and work only one county, but when you have 11 or more counties to keep track of and they keep changing what they want it gets to be a big headache.
