The officer wound up getting suspended for 2 days without pay for this incident. I am sad with that result, the DB deserved it and the back up officer did a GREAT job of controlling the other "citizens"

No-Shirt needed to go to jail also. He was obstructing an arrest. It looked like the back-up guy popped him at 0:12, then he ran in a circle and punched the side of the pick-up at 0:24.
Why is there always at least one grossly obese woman who shows up in the middle of any incident, screaming and pointing fingers? Notice how she yells in hysterics at the camera at about 1:10 - 1:14?
Why does it seem that anytime a minority is arrested everyone else of that same minority has to run over and scream injustice???
I'm not trying to stereotype...I know that there are good and bad people from every nationality. But I'm sick and tired of watching youtube clips and reading news stories where minorities ignore the crime and blindly scream racism. Oh btw, it starts with the guy in the white house.

What about those that have to do both?

This is why I can't tear myself away from watching "Cops" when it comes on. I'm one of those Americans who lives in a suburban area of the country where I never witness this, and who is frankly oblivious to what law enforcement personnel have to deal with. Every time I watch the show, probably the most common thread I see in every scenario is the amazing brazeness with which the persons of interest lie to the cops. And actually think the cops are going to believe them. It's an education every time I watch that show.
It’s just the Jerry Springer Show in real life.
It gets a bit frustrating at times, but everyone lies to us; suspects, investigative leads, witnesses and yes, even victims.
I should back up and add that every once in while, someone will be straight up with us which keeps us from going into our second profession of being dentists pulling teeth. It is a real pleasure to run across the rare truthful person.
This career is not a sprint, it is a marathon.
Geeeze, Chief, that's a pretty sobering commentary. No wonder I feel out of place so often. I grew up in a family of straight shooters and no wonder watching "Cops" fascinates me. As a teenager I grew up about an hour from the ocean and got to go to the beach a lot, but I was always drawn to sitting on the bench and watching people walk by on the boardwalk...just always enjoyed observing human behavior. But observing the world iyou folks work in is like a whole other planet.
Tried to rep both Curt and fatboyjim, but I have to spread!
In regards to what Reconciler mentioned--I haven't ever seen something like that (the video) happen where I live, but it definitely seems that as soon as these videos emerge people are quick to cry racism...regardless of the fact that the camera doesn't necessarily reveal everything that has occurred. But I digress.
And...what WAS the purpose of the heavyset woman interfering with the situation anyways?
Sometimes I don't understand what compels people to lie to the police for literally no reason. I mean I understand the psychology behind it, but when I really think about it, it doesn't make sense. I was raised to be respectful to those who enforce the law, and a part of that includes being truthful. And even if I WERE to lie, I'm only human--chances are I'd get caught sooner or later. Really, then where would that get me?
Got ya covered, Pathos![]()
In the words of the Blue Fairy "a lie keeps growing and growing." It's better to start with the truth the first time IMO

That 450lb lady was hot! BWAHAHA!
I was more upset about 2 days suspension for a tactic that worked VERY well with no injuries except maybe a bruised ego!
