I beg to differ with you Sir. You need to know your California history better if you are going to quote it.

The Panther incident resulted in the passage of Title II, Section 1215 of the California Code of Regulations (since repealed) which made it a misdemeanor to bring a wide variety of weapons onto any state property.

Rest assured Sir, that law did not discriminate based on race. I arrested a white guy for that very violation after he walked into a state office building wearing a priest's cassock, a battle sword, a bull whip, handcuffs and a vintage fox stole. Only when the papers hit the street the next day did I find out he was a candidate for Mayor of San Francisco.

It's more simple than that. It's just the end result of socialism and the nanny state. When your core belief is based on the question "Why would anyone need to take care of themselves?", gun control is a no brainer. There are plenty of socialist countries with gun control and no noticeable issues of race.
