Now....taser vs. stun gun? What is the difference? From the perspective of self defence for a woman, What is suggested? Is a taser legal for citizens? Is a stun gun the same as a taser?

I believe a stun gun is a device you hold in your hand and press the electrodes against the person. The taser fires a projectile with the electrodes that are connected via a wire to the gun.
