Okay so I want to help my friend out because she is freaking out about this situation she's now in..

My friend got prescribed Tramadol pain pills for her tooth ache, however she no longer needs them because her teeth are better. A girl calls my friend and asks her is she could have some of her pain pills for her shoulder that's been hurting..My friend agreed to let her have 3 Tramadols as long as she pays $10 because she's out of money. The girl shows up at my friends house..takes the pills and drives off without paying. Later on that day the girl wants to fight my friend because she doesn't want to pay up the money. My friend starts texting this girl back and forth and they are both arguing and threatning each other about getting into a fight that night. My friend shows up at the girls house..nobody got hit and no fighting occured, BUT the girl handed over to my friend counterfeit. (fake money) It wasn't till the day after that my friend found out it was a false $10.

What kind of trouble could they be looking at if my friend went to the local police and tell them what happend?
What trouble would my friend get herself into?
And what trouble could that girl get into?

Your friend is a drug dealer. Tell her to grow up and cut her losses. I don't think Rahim is going to call the cops when Tyrone takes a 20 spot of coke and don't pay.

Your "friend" would be in deep crap if she went to the police to report that. Selling prescription narcotics to someone without a prescription is a felony in most states. Possession of the same narcotics is also a felony in most states if you don't have a prescription for them for her friend. Could also look at trafficing charges (another felony) depending on the weight and amount stated in state law.

Sure, she can go report them to the police, but don't be surprised with they arrest her and her friend for the situation. Personally, I don't take theft reports from people who sell dope, when their dope was stolen. It was illegal to do in the first place. The friend didn't have a hurt shoulder, she just wanted to get high.

She should chalk it up as a lesson learned, and don't do it again.

She did this time. Sorry you don't like the answers, but the law in perfectly clear that you cannot sell controlled substances unless you are a pharmacist and that person has a legal prescription. If she reports it, she'll be turning herself in for a felony, like it or not.

If you don't believe us, then tell her to go ahead and contact the police.

By your reasoning, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold aren't murderers because prior to Columbine, they had "never killed anyone before, EVER." Don't you see the flaw in that argument?

That she has never attempted before now to sell drugs for money is irrelevant, as is the history between the two girls. If someone sells (or attempts to sell) a prescription only drug to another, they have violated the law, and are in fact by definition, a drug dealer, as stated above.

I am sorry that this is not what you wanted to hear, but doesn't make it any less true.

Maybe both of them need to spend a few nights in jail to evaluate whether they want to be law abiding citizens?

If your friend turns herself in for slinging dope, she might be able to walk with a reduced misdemeanor charge and probation. So, yes, have her go report this to the police, it will be a valuable lesson learned.

Pharmaceuticals are drugs and when you sell them out side of a pharmacy makes you a drug dealer. Not sure where the confusion is, and using a fake money is a secret service issue. Both of these girls are REAL winners.

Actually, that applies only if the drug is a controlled substance as deemed by the DEA. Not all prescription drugs are such. However, I can't think of any pain control prescription drug that isn't a controlled substance though.

Learn something new every day. If you buy a drug that you need a script for off the street or in a foriegn country and bring it back but is not a controlled substance is it unlawful?
