As of september 2009 I have been trying find a new agency.. because I was released from my former police department at that time.. My sheriff's office in the county I live in is wanting give me a job..ok.. the problem now is that I didnt complete all of my in-service training for 2009, I only completed 6 of the required 24 hours, I was wondering if I could still be hired even though I didnt get my hours in??

I wouldn't see why not. You should be able to finish those hours this year. I know here in PA they offer the current year and two years back, each year. I had a little over a year break from October 2007 to January of 2009 and when I got rehired in January 2009 I just took both the 2008's and 2009's. The state gave me a deadline until about June of 2009 to get the '08's done.

I was also told that sheriff's standards would not grant me certification until the hours were completed.. that my general certification is currently suspended.. which I fell is wrong because I was dismissed before I could get all hours in!

Well only the Sheriff's Dept. can answer if they will still hire you but in the meantime you may want to see if you can do the in-service while not being hired. Probably not so they'd have to hire you contingent on that...
