I don't know to be honest. I was 22 when I graduated from the academy so I never really even looked into the age requirements.

Act 120 covers weapons training. The academy I went to had weapons that were issued to us while in the academy. We did not get to keep them, however, so you would have to requalify with whatever weapon you are carrying for your dept...

To be a paramedic in PA, they follow the NREMT protocols and the paramedic program is not offered by the state, but by training programs. And the requirements include:
    a) Having a high school diploma or GED to start the program
    b) Have to be 18 to start the program.

    Nice try. I know as I am a instructor in NY/NJ/PA and a NREMT-I

No bank is giving a 17 year old kid a a loan on a multi-million dollar investment. A two rig private company with 12 eployees, all insurance costs, employee costs, and PA required supplies and equipment has a value of $1.6 million in obligations and equipment value, assuming no business. Thus with a profit margin that goes up. What bank is giving a 17 year old, a minor, a loan for a contract to buy into a business they legally cannot consent to, especially in this economy?

You would get a lot more respect and help if the little fibs would stop.
#1; Ive already graduated high school (you are able to do this); Doing this enabled me to be able to do this, just like people think i cant go inside a burning building; theres a program that lets me do that, I have already started FFI. It's called the PA apprentice Program.

About the Loan....Theres About 20 of us starting it age 17-30 years old...so dont worry about it. None of your business....Guess what! Truthfully If im not respected on here IDC!! It's online... I know its true so idc if anyone elese belives me.

And just to reply and tell me this is really childish.

    SO have a nice day

I will say this, it's hard to become a PSP trooper without military. The military discharge gives them 10 points added to their testing scores. I tested 3 times (once in college and twice while at my old department) and got in the low to mid 90's on all three. Had there not been 10 bonus points I'd probably be a PSP trooper right now. Unfortunately for me, a lot of people testing had military and i didn't make it past the second round.

Unless you are a REALLY good test taker, and I am definitely a good test taker, it will be very hard to overcome all of the people with military preference, especially once you hit 21 and are testing with a bunch of the soldiers who will be home from Iraq and Afghanistan. If I could do it over, I'd go into the military. I work at a good department now, but the PSP was always the department I really wanted to work for.

You may be able to do FF-1, but you cannot do Paramedic in PA until you are accepted into a program, and to be accepted you need two things, a diploma and be 18. Since you claim to have the diploma, but are 17, you are not in a approved paramedic training program as you claim. I know, I am a state certified instructor. If you are in a program, PM me the name whose program your in.....the specific college/training center.

Maturity at its best! Guess somebody got caught in a lie! What ALS company is for sale in PA? I checked with the DOH and they have no ALS company in the state who has advised them they will be giving up their license or that a new owner will be licensing, which is a requirement. It would also be necessary for all of you to obtain your business license and ambulance license in order to even apply for the loan as they need to know you are using the money for a legitimate business.
