Bad guys already in our house! American Domestic "Militia"

“ A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. “ - I dont think our founding fathers had this in mind as an example of well regulated militia.

As I was going through YouTube Videos I was quite shocked to hear a Male American Accented Voice under the Vaile of a mask asking for our youth to rise against the government and calling for a second revolution. Most likely not a Islamic radical behind this but the similarities are shocking; several masked men holding AK-47’s in the background calling for an armed resistance against a phantom world order. I have seen several news articles regarding the growing domestic threat of radical militia forces within the borders of the United States, but did not think these people were openly recruiting calling our police and military forces foe. This could be a clear threat to law enforcement and military in the future.

I appreciate the post, but Law Enforcement is already well aware of the Militia movement.

Google 'Ruby Ridge,' 'Waco,' 'Montana Freemen,' and 'Oklahoma City Bombing.'

These are just some of the very high profile cases that have hit the news in the last 20 years. There are hundreds of more cases.

Much effort is put towards defeating, or at least containing radical Islam and other foreign terrorist groups and they are major concerns for the military. I knew of the groups in the 90’s by watching news of the different stand offs, but domestic groups are not a major area of study for me as I thought the recruitment was minimal. Reports are now coming out due to the poor economy the numbers of these groups are increasing and the rhetoric is becoming more aggressive. With the internet as an avenue to spread their word more so than it was twenty years ago this could be greater threat.

Hate groups have put out recruiting media for years and years and years. Video tapes, music, fliers, etc. It's nothing new and they're all watched by local LE. The threat is no greater now than it has been in the past.
Of every one hundred men, ten should not even be here. Eighty are nothing but targets. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the One... One of them is a Warrior... He will bring the others back.

I thought this topic would produce a little bit more response than it has. The military trains in foreign aggressor, leaving a large amount of the domestic threat to state and federal law enforcement. This caught my interest and figured it was worthy to post as it relates to both military and law enforcement.

Slaughter you cannot deny the implications the internet has had in the ability of any nut case with a video camera can produce a movie and have the opportunity to expose it to thousands across the world. Posting a flier or a video at the local hall, or putting it on a website and claiming to have thousands of members subscribing are very different methods. There has never been a time in our history that has exposed the masses to such a large volume of information both dangerous and creditable.

Domestic threats have long been on LE's plate. Militias, OMG's, STG's, street gangs, organized crime are all similar, just organized with different goals in mind. You posting this hear isn't news to us. That's why you're not getting the response you thought it should garner.

I haven't denied anything. I stated the status quo remains the same in regards to these groups. They're in existence now and they have been for a loooong time. Just because they're using the internet instead of video tapes through the mail makes no difference. It's still an underground movement that is extremely fragmented and each group is generally independent. Yes, there are some that are larger, but look at the video you posted. 5 or 6 guys. If they wanted to make a strong statement, it would have been a much larger group on video.

The internet allows people to subscribe from all over the world. They may have thousands, but how many of those are local in the U.S.? No way to tell. Rest assured that group is probably on a watch list somewhere and is being investigated. Speech is still protected and we're still required to wait for a specific act to occur before an arrest can be made (with a few exceptions, of course).

I think he made the exception around 1:40-1:46 and 2:30-2:50, he clearly inciting imminent lawless action, and harassment against public officials.
I believe in the First amendment, however this was a right to guarantee the press freedom from prosecution for criticizing public officials, not a loophole for wussies to threaten people without consequences.

He refers to "strike first" when talking about the government trying to take citizens' liberties. Liberties are guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. That's not "imminent lawless action."

Go back and read case law about the 1st Amendment.

Maybe because this is new to you, and old news for us?

Don't fret, Rlong, if there is illegal activity identified, it is addressed. Otherwise, we have freedoms guaranteed us in this country and they apply to militia members just as much as they do to dope smoking paralegals.

Terrorist groups have been here since time began. Every society has misfits that blame their problems on others and are too dumb to use anything but violence to get their way.

The KKK was probably the first recognized group in this country, however I'm sure there have always been pockets of others.

True, the Internet allows them better access to get their message out, but sane people still reject it and always will.

Until militia groups have the power to sell out our manufacturing industry to foreign nations, place our country trillions of dollars in debt, and mandate wealth redistribution, I don't think they pose any greater threat than the "gangsta" crowd.

I can see why a lot of these people are angry.

You're right, I re-read Brandenburg a few times hoping you weren't. His message just makes me generally angry so I stretched my interpretation law.
