TO ALL LEO's/On the public's behalf-(Most of post is more "publicly directed")

To ALL LEO's-Thank you all...Greatly appreciate everything you do, no matter the capacity you're in, everyone here is all the better for it all...although more often than not they will not look past their nose to think about it.

To THE PUBLIC- Please apply some degree of logic to your interactions and the subsequent posts thereafter. No matter how you feel about law enforcement you can't deny their degree of patience in dealing with US, especially.

I also must state, that I really feel that the "can they do this because they are a cop...etc" posts are complete nonsense.
THEY are the POLICE, 99.999% (or more), of the time, The police are correct, and have more than likely forgotten more about the law than you will ever know.

I feel this might be in vain, but I really would prefer to see some more productive posts in "Ask A Cop".
I'd like to think everything coming from someone who's NOT in Law Enforcement, & never planned to be, or never hope to be....just another "average citizen" Hopefully others MIGHT see my points.

I appreciate the sentiment, I really do.

But this is "Ask a Cop" and I don't see a question here.

Citicop-Certainly understandable & the sole reason for knowingly posting in “Ask a Cop” (essentially contradicting my own logic considering I felt it was the wrong place), was that the general public, would likely view that section more often.


One last note to the public, I am far from “best buds” with the officers I know.
Recently I have moved and gotten to know some more police, & feeling that much safer-lol.

The more interaction you have=more understanding if you pay attention.

The most basic thing to remember is they are only human as well as you and me.

When my neighbor comes home from a double shift, for example, and had no choice but to work, you can’t reasonably expect someone to completely block out the fact that you’re committing the same offense that caused them to miss those hours with their kids, being forced to work. No matter how professional someone is.
