To the OP: if it ended badly, then you would only be adding to the drama by dating, of all people, his boss. If you were the one who ended the relationship, then that's really insensitive. Think about how you'd like it if he did the same to YOU? (And if he was the one who ended it, then I suspect that your motives are not entirely benign.) Find someone else.
