Oh, Lord. That's why I never dated anyone at work. I saw too many relationships begin there. It's great until they break up and still have to see each other everyday.
What was really weird was watching cops marry, divorce, date other cops at remarry. Child support checks can be left in interdepartmental mail boxes....
I wanted no part of that circle jerk. Besides, even if it works, that's too much togetherness.

An officer I work with closely has been dating my ex-wife for a number of years. It doesnt really bother me, I just shrug my shoulders and think, "Well, she's his problem now." I approach my job with a level of professionalism that just won't allow this to be a problem for me, my career is too important.
