    Duty gear help

Ok, i've been looking for something online for a little while, and can't find anything in particular that I'm looking for.

I have an AR-15 for work. I keep 7 loaded magazines in my car. Problem is, if sh1t ever hit the fan (such as it did in Orlando, close by, a couple weeks ago), and I was dispatched to an active shooter situation, I would probably only be able to carry one in my back pocket, and two on a mag coupler, loaded into the rifle.

What I am looking for, is a holster that will hold at least four, if not all 7 or 8 magazines, that I can take out of my trunk and either quickly attach to my leg, around my waist, or over the shoulder, and go. I saw some of the MOLE setups that go around the leg, and attach over a belt. Problem is, I don't want to be trying to loop the b@stard around my gun belt while trying to haul ass into a building. Too cumbersome and time consuming.

Do any of you guys have suggestions? I can't find anything online.

Something from one of these guys maybe? Toss it over the shoulder and go. You can even jam some extra first aid stuff in there.

I'd suggest a tactical vest or carrier with the molle set up. Just keep it with your rifle and slip it on when it's go time.

If your shirt has a zipper, shove them in there. I've put one behind my mag pouches....between my wet laundry area and the pouches, cause I do have washboard abs, just a lil wet laundry on them.

I second this, if you have the money to make it happen. If you really want to take it a step farther, get an armor carrier with molle set up. Then in the future you can by some plates to go in there for protection against the rifle rounds.

I keep a nicely loaded Maxpedition "go-bag" during both my overseas deployments and in my car, working staeside. It's a pretty small package and holds a lot of stuff. Stateside, I keep extra mags, protein bars, extra med equipment, a spare battery for the radio, etc.

There are a lot more to choose from than when I bought mine. You should give them a look. They have something that should be able to meet just about any need. Mine is the Jumbo S-Type Versipack.

That might work. I thought about a tactical vest with AR-15 mags, but Most of them appear to get in the way of my duty belt and the toys I have on it.

That I could loop over my non-gun side, and it won't get in the way of anything critical.

I would think that if the situation got so bad that you need an M-4 with 8 mags. Whatever toys you have on your belt will be the last thing you're thinking about.

I have a vest carrier kind of like the one pictured above and it dosen't interfear with my duty belt. I can get at my, cuffs, OC, pistol, all with out a problem

Whatever setup you decide to go with I would also like to suggest getting some extra restraints (either handcuff or flex cuff). You may have to end up detaining multiple people in an active shooter situation.

I'll add a few. I got two sets in my car, plus one on my belt. Always room for more of those.
